Last day in London

We spent the morning at the Notting Hill Market with Leanne - bought some buttons, a beautiful dress, a vege burger (omg yum - so missing fresh fruit and vegetables), and a pineapple smoothie. By the time we finished up it was SO busy. We headed back to the tube station, on the way I saw a £5 sale so I went in to buy some heels. When I finally re emerged Leanne and Willy had gone to the pub. We drank Pimms outside in the garden bar (misleading as not a lot of actual garden in the garden bar but still nice to sit outside in the gorgeous weather).

Leanne had to go to the rugby so we caught the tube with her and headed back into town to London Bridge which we walked across and then made our way down the Thames to Millennium Bridge. We spotted St Paul's Cathedral on the other side, so we headed over to that. On the way up to Saint Paul's we came face to face with a huge group of people dressed in animal costumes. Very strange but fun!

Got back on tube and shot down to Westminster with the aim of taking some photos of parliament and the abbey, unfortunately the weather packed in so we went to the nearest Spoons instead, which was conveniently located just up the road. We had a couple of drinks in the packed pub next to a man with blood all over his face who we eventually watched being removed from the premises.

Decided we should check out our bus stop for the next morning and rode the tube back out to Liverpool Street. HOLY CRAP am I pleased that we did. 45 minutes of wandering through the streets trying to find the bloody thing. Eventually we did and by this stage we were both hungry and grumpy so we headed to a beautiful Greek restaurant for some dinner (I know, I know, what is with going to a country and then eating food from every other country). It was so nice to have a nice meal with fresh ingredients and good service. We had tapas which included olives, hallumi with peppers, baby potatoes with butter and fennel, pork belly, lamb meat balls, and feta, beetroot and lentil salad. It filled my soul with happiness.

After we finished, we caught the tube back to Temple and went to Walkabout Bar with Leanne and Karyn. It's an Australian bar and was loud, not Willy's cup of tea. He read his book while I had my first fishbowl (!!) and went dancing. The dumb DJ wouldn't fulfil our request to play Piano Man - come on, how can you play One Direction but no Piano Man?!
